I get more freebies and comps from outside of Facebook but I do run quite a few that way. I don't bother recording freebies but I have entered 2,500 competitions since April, a number that scares me when I look at it :S

I also have a Facebook for competitions and freebies. It's mad the amount of stuff that is available through Facebook daily...freebies, competitions - so many goodies! hehe

I'm just a freebie hunter and comping girl so would be lost without my Facebook

I have exactly what you recommend one account just for competitions so there are no personal details on there that the apps can capture and use, and another for my which is locked down to friends and family. I don't run any apps from that one or follow anything other than friends and family.

Others on the site don't have accounts and I always try to identify if you really need an account (say if you have to Like a page) or whether it's just a placeholder.

I do the same with email addresses: one for competitions and freebies and one for me
