- SPF 20 Medium Protection
- Single application protects all day long
- UVA / UVB protection
- Water resistance, Non-greasy and odourless
- Preservative free, Non staining formulation

Directions

Ensure your skin is dry. Apply generously and evenly where applicable. One application will last for up to 6 hours for normal use. First time users re-apply after 10 minutes. Leave on skin 15 minutes before sun exposure to allow your sun screen to bind to your skin. After bathing pat your skin dry with a towel. Do not rub. Bathing, showering or towelling will remove the product. Follow the instructions carefully before use. Apply to clean dry skin preferably after a shower. Apply evenly and generously 15 minutes before exposure to the sun, which will allow the product to bind with skin and form a protective film against UVA/UVB rays. When used correctly, one application is sufficient for all day use protection.

Alcohol base makes application unpleasant
Cheap looking packaging
Summary
This is my go-to sun protection, it is a real dupe for the original Riemann's. I like to use an "once a day" lotion after a shower then forget about it. This provides good protection and does last all day.
The alcohol base means it applies easily, dries and absorbs very quickly but it's quite overwhelming on the senses to apply and you definitely couldn't use it on your face or your children!
It's also a bargain compared to most sun lotions.

I bought this from one of the bargain stores like B&M and honestly cannot remember how much I paid but think it might be around £7.

The difference between this and any other sun screen is that this is applied but once a day. They say you should apply it 45 minutes before going out in the sun. I was intrigued, slightly sceptical but thought it was worth having a try.

This sun screen comes in a plastic bottle with a screw top lid. The hole in the inner lid was quite large but there was no spray or anything, you just poured the liquid out of this hole. The contents were pretty liquid and not creamy. They were kind of viscous so thicker than water but pretty liquid. The liquid is completely clear ans smells sort of alcohol – like. A bit like surgical spirit in my opinion.

The sunscreen container holds 200ml of product and is factor 20 protection which suits my husband and I as neither of us burn easily. I also thought that this would give a good base protection and if we needed more because we were going to be out in the sun for some time then I could add another higher factor on top.

I bought this for our last two holidays and the most recent was our sailing trip around the Galapagos islands. Bear in mind we were at sea so this makes the sun more fierce so it was important to be protected at all times.

We applied this after our morning shower each day. It is a bit like alcohol in that it evapourates quickly. I found I needed to spread it fairly quickly and evenly and after a few seconds it was completely absorbed into my skin. There was no evidence at all except a slight aroma which also faded after a while. No one would have guessed we had any sunscreen on . The other thing I liked is that it didn't make my eyes run and sting as some sun screens do.

It worked. We walked for hours on our island hikes. We wore short sleeved T shirts and hats but no other sun screen and neither of us ever got burned the entire holiday. If we went snorkelling I did put extra sun screen of a higher factor on my shoulders and back as that would be exposed when snorkelling.

I am not sure whether this was necessary but I took precautions as I didn't fancy getting burnt. After snorkelling we had another shower and I washed my hair so if we went out for another hike or doing anything out in the sun I re applied the Once a day. I couldn't expect it to work after swimming in the sea for over an hour and a shower using shampoo and shower gel; that would be expecting far too much.

This would be perfect for using on children before they head off to school for the day as it would last them all through the day. My grandsons now have this applied as I have told my step daughter about this. Test it first as my grand daughter and other step daughter are allergic to something in it and it gives them eczema so be wary if you suffer from sensitive skin. Maybe check the ingredients if you know what you might be allergic to.

I would certainly buy this again as it is not greasy, there is no danger of it marking clothes. It gives a good basic protection and good enough for my husband and I for most situations. It has no smell and absorbs completely leaving no gresy feel or smell. I also like the fact it goes into the skin rather than sitting on top so it doesn't get into my eyes when they water as they always do in bright sunlight.

This stuff works but binding with the skin to form the protective layer rather than sitting on top as a layer which can be rubbed, washed or sweated off. It provides protection from UBV and UVA rays. It does say keep away from your eyes and rinse well with water if you get any in your eyes but I found I could apply this to my face keeping it away from my eyes and kept my eyes closed and once it had sunk in it didn't run with any tears or watering eyes.

The container does say keep away from children but I would not get children to apply their own sunscreen anyway.

This is also made in Manchester which is good as I like to support British companies if I can.

I was favourably surprised and impressed with this product and have recommended it to a number of my friends. It makes it so much easier to apply only once a day. I have even used it in this country in the last few weeks because of this fabulous weather we have been enjoying. We apply this in the morning then when we are out and about gardening and doing DIY outside we are fully protected. My husband plays golf twice a week and uses this to protect his arms and face while out on the course.

I would recommend trying thi
