Description

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme is based on a very Mediterranean, aromatic base. Its part of the aromatic fern family and was the first men's fragrance not to feature citrusy notes. The base notes are a harmony of wood, amber and musk produced by a subtle combination of Lentisk, Cistus, Oakmoss, Honeyed tobacco and Musk.

This is a fragrance that has stood the test of time. It is strong on application, but mellows quickly, giving a subtle scent that is long lasting without being overwhelming.

Summary
An aftershave that is still well liked after a very long run. It has a slightly soap/medicinal when you first use it but it settles down well. I can't say that it's any less irritating on the skin than any other aftershave but it's not unpleasant. It tends to be a little off putting at first as it seems overly strong but over time it moves away from the top notes.

Maybe not for everyone (and certainly not everyone younger) but a good traditional fragrance that still works.
