Summary
Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara is just entering the market as (I believe) the newer version of Colossal Volume Express, which is really proven a great mascara at length. Its design is really something to be proud of – a golden glow of a movie opening (like 20th Century Fox), and somehow it is not damaged easily. As most of its 'sister' mascaras this one has a saturated colour, large volume of the tube, and a good fluffy brush that ensures covering of every eyelash. No flaking was spotted either. However, the boasted volume has been overrated: one application ensures that the lashes look natural and elongated, but provides no extra volume, while the second application, although it adds some to the volume, makes the lashes look overburdened and clumpy. I have dark natural lashes so one application looks fine for me (for everyday make up for sure), but for the owners of lighter lashes who crave extra volume or falsies volume, I would advise other Maybelline mascaras, not this one.
