I have to say 17 isn't a brand I ever consider buying, it just gets overlooked with all the choice out there. I got this as a free gift or from running up in a competition last year and was actually surprised by how impressed I was with it.
In the past I've often favoured mroe of the 'false lash effect' type mascaras, but I really enjoyed this one. It wasn't as obvious a difference to my lashes as those ones are, especially as I have it in brown (I usually go straight for black). But it gives a nice slightly more natural look (or as natural as mascara can look while still doing something for your lashes) which I've found I really enjoy. Especially as it didn't clump for me, which is my major issue with pretty much every mascara I've ever tried.
The packaging isn't my favourite, but it doesn't bother me and it certainly won't stop me from purchasing when my current one runs out ^^

Summary
I also purchased this mascara for the free colour palette that came with it but suffice to say I was quite impressed with it! It didn't clump my lashes, or smudge. It has a nice depth of colour and does give the appearance of lengthened and volumises lashes. The Applicator is really pretty and feminine and the price is brilliant! Really happy with this purchase and I got one for my 3 teenage nieces too ready for their birthdays

This mascara is as good as others that are more than twice the price and the application is very good, also it doesn't smell too bad! When I bought this mascara I got a free eye shadow palette, so it was definitely value for money.
Weakest points
Found I had to reapply the mascara once during the day, but this is the case with most, and didn't mind because it's so cheap!
