This is a solid shampoo and all you have to do is wet your hair as usual then run this through your hair like you might a bar of soap. It lathers up quickly and then after a quick massage I thne rinse it out as normal and follow the rinse with a good conditioner.
I love coconuts and know that coconut oil is not only great for the skin but also for hair because of its natural moisturising and conditioning ingredients. Lush say; "We've put lashings of creamed coconut in this bar, to give you as much as possible of its effects. We've also included soya lecithin to give protein. "
I find the shampoo bar lathers up really easily and has lasted me ages. I don't use it every day or even every time I wash my hair as I like to ring the changes. The lather is thick and creamy and smells wonderful, not only of coconut but also my favourite vetivert too and the smell does linger in my hair which I like depending on how strong the conditioner scent that I use is. I find a coconut conditioner is a good one to complement the scent of this.
I have found that this makes my hair feel squeaky clean despite all the moisturising I do feel I need to condition my hair after using this. My hair is quite dry so needs all the feeding I can give it.
I have had no problems with itchy scalp or with my horrible eczema that appears from time to time at my neck hair line, after using this shampoo. This is one of a couple of different ones that regularly comes on holiday with me.
Solid shampoos are perfect to pop in your suitcase for travelling as they will never leak; they add a lovely fragrance to your clothes when in the suitcase. They weigh less than a bottle of shampoo, so do not add much to your weight allowance. After using the bar all you have to do is dry it a little and pop it in plastic bag and you are ready to pack it again.
The other shampoo bars that are round have special tins that you can buy to keep them in but this is not really the right shape so I keep old Lush black pots to keep things like this in as they have decent screw top lids that don't leak and the pots don't break and also are not heavy either.
Yes this is a good solid shampoo bar and one of my favourites. I like to buy different ones as I enjoy different smells and also find my hair likes to have different shampoos as it gets dull using one all the time. Theses solid shampoos look expensive when you first buy them but they last ages and are really so very handy when travelling that I always have at least two different ones on the go at a time for our trips away.
I think it's pretty obvious by now that I am a huge advocate of Lush products. I love them! And Lush's solid coconut shampoo Trichomania is no exception. One of the Lush Naked products Trichomania is a solid shampoo and thus doesn't come with harmful plastic packaging.
I absolutely adore this shampoo, the rich coconut smell is to die for and leaves my hair smelling beautiful all day which is wonderful. It's so simple to use, you can either wet the bar under the shower and rub it on your hands then rub the lather through your hair. Or you can just rub the bar through your wet hair like I do and work up a lather that way. It's the only shampoo I've ever used that I've felt that I wouldn't need to condition my hair after.
At £5.25 for 100g it's quite pricey but it's worth every penny, I am so pleased with this shampoo I don't think I'll find a shampoo that comes close to this one. I recommend this shampoo to everyone who has curly or afro hair as it will make your hair look and feel soft, shiny and smell beautiful.
this bar is fab,it produces a lovely soft lather which you then work into your hair.
coconut smell that is subtle and not too overpowering
