Description

Some perfumes are born a myth. Heady, mysterious and revolutionary since its creation, Poison is Dior’s ultimate weapon of seduction. Its exceptional, exotic alchemy is created by a rich blend of spicy, fruity and amber notes warmed by honey and musk an unsettling, charismatic and unforgettable oriental.
Produced in Russia and steam distilled, coriander, mainly used in cooking, is classified as an aromatic. It contains linalool, adding fresh, peppery and zesty notes to fougere, citrus and chypre fragrances. Captivating and mysterious, it is the enchanting top note of Poison.
Imported from India to Europe around 1600, tuberose is an herbaceous plant with highly fragrant white flowers that grow in clusters. Indian tuberose absolute offers J'adore l'Absolu a heady, honey and orange-scented floral note, for noble and luxurious intensity.
Opoponax is the resinous gum from a tree that grows in Africa and the Middle East. It is a type of myrrh obtained by exudation of the bark. Opoponax features as the velvety, balsamic base note of Poison, affording the fragrance its enchanting mystery.

This scent is a bit too much for me,the scent is nice but i feel it is too much over a long period and gives me a headache.
The bottle depicts the scent quite well, dark and mysterious.
I think this scent would be better suited to an older lady or someone who likes distinctive scents.

Very much a fragrance that works for individuals
Summary
I remember the introduction of Giorgio and then Poison (in '85) and the impact they had. Designed by Jean Guichard, who created Obsession for Klein in '85 as well, Poison is dark (for once the bottle actually works for me as it suggests exactly what is inside) and intense. It can be over powering but I always thought that that was mostly how and where it was worn rather than the fragrance itself.
