WHO IS KIM KARDASHIAN?
Well she is a model and sometime actress and member of one of those ‘we are rich so we must be famous’ families who have a programme about them like Ozzy Osborne and his family did. They are famous for being famous really and nothing more of any real note.
This is quite understated, simple round and flat like a disc in black with the initials KK one facing the wrong way so the symbol is symmetrical in pinkcentral to the bottle. The lid is a large chunky black rectangular block and under this is a metallic ring with Kim inscribed on it.
Needless to say Kim Kardashian was not actually the creator the perfume the actual scent was created by Perfumer Claude Dir.
I am so pleased that I rose above my prejudices and tried this Kim Kardashianfragrance as it is a lot nicer than I would have anticipated given the person behind the brand. It is light, sweet and floral without being heavy and cloying as some floral can be. I was actually quite tempted to buy this one as a full sized bottle as I liked it so much but so far I have resisted as I do have so many perfumes in my collection already.
Tops notes: African orange flower, mandarin orange, honeysuckle
Middle notes: jasmine, gardenia, tuberose and spices
Base notes: musk, sandalwood, tonka, orchid and woodsy notes
When I first spray this on it is pretty strong and initially quite sweetly floral to me but then the orange mandarin notes are also quite floral despite being fruity. It is not heavy initially and quite refreshing and sweet light and very girly, not in any way unisex to me. As it develops it takes on a still sweet but more warm and sexy with jasmine which I love and the tuberose which is another of my favourites combining with the heady gardenia. In fact the middle florals are all my favourites so it is not surprising that I am attracted to this one.
After about half an hour the scent still retains its beautiful floral notes but it has become warmer and creamier with the beautiful tonka and sandalwood also two more of my favourites and the woody notes of jacaranda wood and then the musky aroma all make this a very sensuous perfume that is lighter and more floral than many sensual fragrances.
Very individual in style, try it out first.
This is a surprisingly pleasant fragrance. I admit I expected a cheap poor quality perfume. It is a strong scent but not too overpowering if you do not over apply! The bottle is really attractive in a round shape heavyweight dark purple glass with a square stopper. When applied I though I did not like this scent. The tops notes are mandarin, lemon honeysuckle and orange blossom which are quite sweet but quickly you can detect the middle notes of jasmine, tuberose, gardenia and spices. At this stage I found the fragrance very strong and somewhat heady. The dry down is the best apart for me with warming notes of Tonka, jacaranda wood, vanilla orchid, sexy musk and creamy sandalwood. At this stage I really liked this fragrance.
The longevity is excellent and when I sampled this fragrance in Boots m husband commented on it and found it very appealing. It is a surprisingly sophisticated scent in comparison to its namesake and I would consider a purchase
A lovely perfumne in a really nice quality dark bottle.
This was recommended to me by a lady at a perfume counter and although it is nice and sexy i felt it was not something i would want to wear a lot so therefore would not buy it.
I think it would appeal to a lot of women though because it is a strong sexy feminine fragrance so would therefore recommend.
