Summary
Hugo Boss Deep Red EDP was one of my first 'mature' perfumes, though I had been a teen when I first tried it. It is dark, passionate, seductive, heavy with spicy and woody notes at the beginning and sweetness at the end. It is a perfect match for a very late night party (at least it was back in early 2000). It was rather inexpensive and lasted for hours and hour more, lingering on the hair and clothes even longer (to the brink of becoming a cloying one). The bottle was sturdy yet heavy in manoeuvring, I recall I had some hard time spraying the contents. There were not many decent alternatives so I stuck to this perfume well until 2005, since then I've discontinued using it.
It was a nice one for its time, but now I believe there are much more interesting EDT variations, I doubt I can recommend this one even for people if age.

Summary
I used to use this perfume when I was younger and it was very spicy. The ginger comes true to the mix and overpowers the mixture.
This is a long lasting perfume and good value for money.

Some fragrances stand the test of time...then again some don't. For me this one reminds me of the 'naughties' which is when i bought it and used faithfully till it was done. It has an exotic scent, with the orange, blackcurrant and ginger tones. I loved the scent, even now i still have alittle test of it when in a department store, nostalgia! The tones in this scent are strong on initial spray and do last, but weaken..like most perfumes the are designed for reapplication. I'm not one for heady scents, and this one others could smell on me, and lkiked, but as usual you don't think your perfume is working because you can't smell it. This is one of HUgo Boss's early favourites, but with changing tastes it has long since been sidelined for more uptodate marketing of newer fragrances. One i will always love, but no longer on my to-buy list.

Strongest points
Interesting citrus fragrance
Weakest points
Projection and longevity are poor
Summary
Created in 2001 by Béatrice Piquet and Alain Astori (Lady Million
by Paco Rabanne and Second Skin by Ted Baker respectively) Deep Red is actually a very citrus orange scent. Initially very strong but with no long term projection or longevity. I think it's rather nice but I can see that the citrus is a little overdone and it's quite sweet. Maybe not the most original fragrance but an option.
