Hi Jen,

They have some great products in the aisles in Tesco, and some great offers too! One of the products I found there that I really love is 'My Treacle Moon' a range of bathing products...

Tesco do have some great discounts, and products that are hard to find elsewhere (I pop in for my Pantene Curl Defining Mousse - I last stocked up with about 10 as it was half price :woohoo: )

Shopping online might well be the answer for you, some companies don't charge postage, or at least have periods when they don't... Plus you have the thrill of receiving goodies in the post!

Having dry and sensitive skin myself, I have shopped around to find a decent moisturiser/night cream. Estee Lauder have one which research has showed will defend continually against polution and other nasties, and have the same ingredients in their new BB cream. If you are lucky you might still be able to apply for the night serum, which will last nearer a month than the 7 days they propose... Check out the freebies section to take advantage of these offers. Click the index tab in the forum to help find your way around.

Make sure you register for the next trial too, if you haven't already done so. If you need any help, just leave a reply and one of us will get back to you!

Lovely to read your post, and I hope to chat soon!

Hi mixnmatch1,

I'd forgotten that you are a Beauty Therapist. Having a beauty-on-trial Beauty Therapist could come in very handy!

Hi Jen,

BB creams are great if you don't have time to apply full makeup, they brighten up the skin, moisturise and give a little coverage,a good one is Garniers miracle skin BB cream beautyontrial.co.uk/garnier-miracle-skin...ent/reviewtype-user/

A little mascara really opens up the eyes and by far the best one i have ever used is Bobbi Brown's perfectly defined mascara beautyontrial.co.uk/mascaras/bobbi-brown...tly-defined-mascara/

Lastly a pop of colour on your nails makes you instantly feel glamourous,my favourite brands are OPI and China glaze, something sparkly is great for christmas too beautyontrial.co.uk/nails/opi-save-me-nail-lacquer/

I am a Beauty Therapist so if you have any beauty related queries don't hesitate to ask and i will do my best to answer :)

Hi Jen,

If you can make it to Sainsbury's , I suggest you try their affordable, retro 'Dirty Works' range. The 'Supreme Cream' Body Butter is particularly good for dry skin.

Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation is a really great foundation - quick to apply and lasts all day ( beautyontrial.co.uk/foundations/max-fact...s-3-in-1-foundation/ ).

Maybelline Dream Fresh is a quick and handy BB cream ( beautyontrial.co.uk/foundations/maybelli...ream-fresh-bb-cream/ )

Also, try the Soap & Glory range (buy at Boots or order online). Their 'Make Yourself Youthful' serum really brightens the skin and 'Marvelips' is an amazing lip crayon that gives a very natural pout.

Hi Jen and welcome to the site :)

Thanks for asking this question and I'm sure that you'll get a lot of replies! I'm just going to start with moisturising: I'd recommend Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 50ml for day and Elemis Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream 50ml . Sorry Elemis isn't available at Tesco (I wish it was as I'd buy it there for the points!) but you can use either Time to Spa or QVC. QVC is a good place to watch how to use these and many beauty products.

Looking after nails is one of my things but I'll let someone else start that thought :)

And so it begins, a demanding job, new large house = double the housework whilst running around after the other half and his little boy and I turn 30 next year. Where does the time go? More importantly, what happened to the me time?
It's already been two months since I've been to the hairdressers, my nails have seen better days and don't even get me started on dry skin.
Well I'm not having it anymore - calling all marketeers in the beauty industry
Why has no one produced a packaged up product selection that educates the busy professional on how to use, when to use and why to use. In a simple language, as I admit I'm no beauty expert - but I'm willing to learn. The only shopping that takes place in my life is the weekly shop at Tesco's, so trying to visit the cosmetic counters for a 121 is a no go.
I would love to get any feedback on products you believe a "virgin" to beauty can start with and put me on the road to "caring for me"
