I was very happy with this product and found it most refreshing and uplifting to use. It was great on fights and really did help me feel better and more alive and less dehydrated.
I am not sure it helped with firming or plumping my skin but it certainly made it feel less dry and tight.
The idea is that you spray this onto your face from about 6 inches away. I close my eyes but it doesn't say if you should or not. You should spray after cleansing twice day but as I said I used it during my flights to ensure my skin stayed moisturised and it worked well.
It is colourless, looks like water ad in truth it doesn't smell very much or anything either., maybe slightly fresh and gently floral but certainly not strongly.
Looking at the list of ingredients that has water as number one ingredient. Then glycerine which is a moisture retainer followed by Sodium PCA which is in human skin and binds moisture to the cells. It is very water-absorbent and holds several times its weight in water. It is a very good humectant and also a 'skin-penetration enhancer. '
Taurine is next and that is in our bodies and is added to energy drinks . I think it is in this as it acts as an antioxidant.
Next on the list is Camomile infusion – calming and soothing.
Polyquaternium-4 which is derived from natural cellulose. This is a polymer which is positively charged and neutralizes the negative charges . It has antimicrobial properties as well.
Phenoxyethanol is an alternative to parabens and more natural. It was given the okay for Soil Association and ECOCERT labelled products but there are re thinking this now and a number of natural and organic cosmetic brands are working hard to remove it from their products. Although Phenoxyethanol can be found naturally in green tea and chicory, the cosmetic ingredient is not plant derived. Instead it is synthetically produced in a laboratory. It is a preservative.
Ethylhexylglycerin is an alternative to parabens from more natural sources. Originally a vegetable oil which has been through several chemical processes .
So that is what is in this and while not all exactly natural it is better than some products around and at least honest in what it lists.
It was gentle and I had no adverse reaction such as rashes or itching after using this.
I think that at £9.95 for 15 ml is quite a lot of money so although I did like this product I think there are other products that do a similar job that cost a lot less. Lush sell a number of good toners that you can use as spritzes as well as they are quite a lot cheaper that this.
Although I liked this I will not be paying that price for another bottle as I do think that is a lot for just 15ml. I though my bottle was a sample size but it seems it is the full size.
