I felt like this toner burn my skin. I couldn't use it in the morning because it was too strong. After a while, I stopped using it
I used it on my boyfriend's back instead. I won't purchase the second bottle.

User Reviews

Strongest points
Clean skin well
Weakest points
Too much alcohol, too harsh on skin
Summary
It is a good toner. It gives additional cleaning to skin after washing with regular cleanser. However, this is too strong for my face, even it is for combination-dry skin. I can smell alcohol out of it.

Strongest points
Good size bottle. Draws out dirt and impurities. Part of a 3 step cleansing system. Wide range to suit all skin types.
Weakest points
Smell. Causes spots and breakouts. Screw cap. Is this product almost too effective - does it actually strip the skin and upset it's balance??????
Summary
This product smells very clinical. It effectively draws out dirt and impurities (the cotton wool pad is always almost black after using which can be quite alarming!) Unfortunately every time I have used this product I have broken out in great big boil like spots!!! After about a week my skin calms down and seems to get used to the product so maybe it is just the fact my skin really is getting rid of everything that it needs to. The only problem is I ran out and have been using another toner and I am too scared to go back to this one in case I get the dreaded boils again! I would only recommend this product if your skin never breaks out or reacts to anything.

After visiting a local Clinique counter I was recommended to use cleansing lotion 2.
I used it twice,
My skin became red and inflamed itchy and dry.
The adviser knew I had oily skin and was sensitive to alcohol contents in far care ranges.
This is laced with alcohol and stripped my skin, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't know if they are sensitive to alcohol intensive products.

Strongest points
Easy to use, works well
Weakest points
Can take fake tan off
Summary
I really like the Clinique toners, this one has a different scent to number one, the one I usually use.
It is easy to use and draws out loads of dirt and impurities, only issue with it is that it does take off fake tan fully.

Strongest points
Wide range to suit different skin types, good size bottles within range. Not too expensive.
Weakest points
Didn't have the best cleansing effect on my skin. Wasn't crazy for clinical smell.
Summary
This may suit other people with different skin types but I felt this dried my skin out a bit and didn't really nourish my skin despite being advised of the right range to get. Definitely ask for samples before buying this range
