A replenishing nighttime facial oil with distilled botanicals that visibly restores the appearance of skin by morning. One night. A few drops. Younger-looking skin by morning.
Like thousands of fellow patrons, use a few drops of Kiehl’s best-seller, Midnight Recovery Concentrate, every night for younger-looking skin by morning. Wake up to fresher-feeling skin, which is more toned, and with improved radiance. This formula works by enhancing your skin’s natural night-time recovery process – so make your skin work for you while you sleep!
Additionally the formula is not only paraben-free, but also 99.8% natural-derived. A few of the key ingredients include Lavender Essential Oil, Primrose Oil, and Kiehl’s-signature ingredient squalane, derived from olives. And that is not all - it is made from a recyclable glass bottle, dropper and plastic squeeze top in a protective 100% recycled board carton.
- Key Benefits:
• Regenerates, repairs, and replenishes skin for smoother, healthier skin
• Works with the skin's natural nocturnal activity - when skin is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors - to dramatically restore skin
• 99.8% naturally-derived and paraben-free oil for face
• A customer favorite
- Key Ingredients:
• Lavender Essential Oil: Helps soothe inflamed or irritated skin while helping reduce skin blotchiness for a more even look. Creates a brighter and more radiant look to skin.
• Squalane (Perhydrosqualene or perhydrosqualene vegetal): A signature Kiehl’s ingredient, Squalane is a botanical lipid that is similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids. It has an exceptional affinity to skin, and because it’s easily absorbed, it helps restore skin’s natural moisture balance to keep it extra soft and supple.
• Evening Primrose: Effective on skin barrier repair and boosting radiance.

Directions

• Apply 2-3 drops on the inside of your fingertips
• Warm the oil against your other hand
• Gently press hands onto the cheeks, forehead and chin to evenly distribute the application
• Then massage gently into the skin
• You can wear this alone, or under moisturiser
• Next, enjoy a good night’s sleep!

not for my dry skin

extremely oily and takes ages to absorb

User Reviews

Strongest points
+ decent moisturiser
+ cute design
+ kiehl's bestseller
Weakest points
- very oily
- extra slow absorption
- no long-term effect
- peculiar smell
- pricey
Summary
I had a sample of this so called serum but it was enough for me to discourage from buying a full-sized item. The serum was heavy-textured, viscous and greasy. It had a sharp scent of a wild chamomile or scented mayweed, which can probably won't be for everyone's liking (just like in my case). Upon application it had an unpleasant feeling of a film or grease and takes at least 2 hours till it is fully absorbed (even if used in tiny amounts). Once I even gave up and washed it off my face after 30 minutes since the feeling of clogged and 'not breathing' skin was unbearable.
In the morning the skin looked better, more soft and decently hydrated, however, after the first cleansing or washing the face such effect was gone. No other super-effects of this concentrate had been witnessed by me.
All and all, I will not recommend this one, it is pricey and there can be much cheaper and better moisturizers.

Too Oily!

User Reviews

Strongest points
+ Wonderful oils
+ Scent
Weakest points
- Too Oily
- Definitely can't wear it under anything
Summary
I was given a generous sample of this product from the Lovely lady at Frasers Glasgow. We tried the product out, it smelt wonderful. It does have Lavender as one of it oils, which did worry me, as i am not a fan. The other oils Rosemary/Primrose/Rose, stood out stronger so it was a pleasant scent. The is definitely an Oil not a Serum, so don't be mistaken. It was advised to use only at night due to the slow absorption. It is very slow!! It's hard to say if the product does do anything, other than the fact there is Lavender to give a calming scent whilst you sleep. I felt this Oil was to rich, although that shouldn't have been a fault but when it takes forever to sink in, then it is. I finally decided to wipe it off, as it became very annoying and pillowcases would be marked. If you have time, then try it daily, don't apply anything else, and don't leave the house..(face is incredibley shiny). Best get a sample from the consultants before buying.

Overhyped

User Reviews

Strongest points
Keeps skin looking okay overnight. Pleasant scent.
Weakest points
Pricey.
Summary
I was really excited to try this product as it is a cult product for many people. I have very very dry skin though and it just wasn't enough for me. Perhaps it helps with redness and texture over time but I need something to plump up and moisturise my skin and this wasn't it. If the price was lower I would probably have given this a better review.

Soothes & smoothes the skin

User Reviews

Strongest points
- An attractive blue bottle with a handy pipette.
- Has a wonderfully aromatic and relaxing lavender fragrance.
- Only a small amount of the concentrate is needed as a little goes a long way.
- Not too greasy for an oil-based concentrate.
- Leaves the skin feeling smooth and looking refreshed.
- Quite soothing, and didn't irritate my skin.
Weakest points
- Fairly expensive. There are cheaper facial oils and concentrates that are just as effective.
- Takes a while to absorb.

Nice but no miracles

I loved the idea of the little pipette applicator and had high hopes for this product.
The packaging looks quality and the pipette makes it look different.
I dispensed a little of the oil on the back of my hand as directed but as i went to put the applicator back in the bottle the oil almost ran off my hand.
Its smelt amazing and i patted it onto my skin with my fingertips.
It felt great and not at all greasy on my skin,it also soaked in really quickly.
In the morning however i did not notice any difference to my skin.
It is a nice product but quite expensive so i will not be buying the larger size.
