Sanctuary Spa Thermal Transformation Mask

Description

The special peptide and hyaluronic acid contained in this treatment have been shown to strengthen the collagen network to plump and repair skin’s structures, as well as giving a tauter surface to reduce any ‘crepey’ skin.

When combined with powerful natural extracts that provide a hydration surge, the treatment leaves skin feeling firmer and looking smoother and refined, with a visible reduction in the appearance of wrinkles.

The Thermal Transformation Mask begins with the Peptide Transformation Serum, followed by the Thermal Rose Clay Mask. An intensely warming effect helps optimise the action of the encapsulated enzyme to deeply cleanse & refine the skin surface. After 4 weeks the two step mask visibly firms and refines to reveal an even skin tone and to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Encouraging cell-renewal and boosting hydration levels, means that when the mask is washed away, your complexion has a glowing, dewy finish.

Directions

Your step by step guide to applying the Thermal Transformation Mask explains how exactly to perform this professional treatment and get spa visible results at home. For the ultimate spa experience light a fragranced candle and have some gentle music playing, the full treatment is likely to take half an hour, so you want to be comfortable and relaxed.

1. Cleanse skin thoroughly, removing all traces of make-up. Pat skin dry
2. Smooth a generous layer of Peptide Transformation Serum (Step 1) over the face & neck
3. Next, massage a generous, even layer of the Thermal Rose Clay Mask (Step 2) on top of the serum to generate warming effect, ensuring the whole face and neck is covered. Avoid the delicate skin around the eyes
4. Allow the heating effect to cool naturally while you relax for 15 minutes
5. Rinse off with warm water using the muslin cloth & pat dry
6. Follow with the Peptide Protect Day Cream SPF 20 to protect the newly revealed skin
7. Use this treatment 2 to 3 times a week but not on consecutive days

Therapist's Tip: For an extra moisture boost massage a few drops of the Lipid Recovery Facial Oil in to the skin before applying the Peptide Transformation Serum.

I applied the serum first and then added the face mask. I rather liked the fact it was warm when applied to the skin. The aroma was not strong and it sat well on the skin. You are advised to remove the mask with a muslin cloth, but I washed it off with water without any problems.

It left my skin feeling super soft and I would recommend this.

2-step mud mask that leaves skin silky soft.
Weakest points
Takes at least 15 mins. It also may be too expensive for some.

I thought this was a very different idea to put the serum on first then the heated mask. I do use a serum before my Lush ones as the ladies in Lush suggested so not that new I suppose.
The serum was more like a cream and white but the thermal mask was pink and silky soft and felt lovely and warming on my face. It was super relaxing but I can't say I noticed a great effect on my face any more than with other face masks that are a LOT CHEAPER than this .

Strongest points
The serum is particularly nice
Weakest points
The two stage process and the need for a moisturiser is a little off putting
Summary
As descibed this is a two product mask, the first is the Peptide Transformation Serum which has light creamy texture and covers and absorbs very easily (a couple of ml is all you need). I has a really nice scent that comes out when you smooth ot across your skin. The second stage is the Thermal Rose Clay Mask which you put straight on top of the serum. This is a self heating clay that's surprising warm at first but settles down quickly. It's easy to apply (clay masks can sometimes feel like you're making pottery to me) and cover well. It does have a light pink colour but nothing much else that suggests rose to me but the scent is not unpleasant. Then you leave the mask on for fifteen minutes. Removing it is very easy and it doesn't leave a residue. It definitely leaves a feeling of tightend skin but also slightly de-hydration (which is why I guess they suggest applying Lipid Recovery Facial Oil before the serum).

A nice product that's very reasonably priced and so is a good alternative to much more expensive treatments.
