Yves Rocher Hydra Végétal 24H Intense Hydrating Gel Cream was recommended by a YR consultant to me after a skin test in one of the YR stores and given as a trial sample of 10 ml. This so called gel cream is a far cry from a gel - it has a thick creamy texture and absorbs very slowly especially if overused. Thus it is nearly impossible to use a pre-make-up treatment. I normally applied it after an evening cleansing ritual to restore the hydro balance of the skin. To its credit, the cream indeed is a good moisturizer, takes away the dry spots, makes skin look and feel velvety, improves its condition (some of these effects I can contribute to silicone originating ingredients and glycerin). It smells herbal-ish and not very pleasant but the scent goes away quickly. It will be a great item for cold season when the skin is attacked with cold unyielding winds, but in summer on an any hot day (in particular, if used in the morning) the cream will be felt as a mask on the face and contribute to more sweating...
Weighing all its pros and contras I feel that I can't recommend it, there are better treatments with the same properties even if they may be more expensive.
