Weleda Pomegranate Firming Day Cream

I am bit older than the age range this product is aimed at but I have had a number of these small sample tubes over the years and even bought couple of the full sized ones. I tend to go for the Evening primrose range now though as that range is for the more mature lady which sadly is the age range I fit into.
I do love the smell of this product, which comes from the essential oils in the cream which Weleda describe in this way :
“ “The natural fragrance has been designed to hit a sophisticated note, subtly sensual, feminine and warming. Essential oil of davana lends an exotic, oriental character together with mellow base notes of sandal wood and neroli”.

It is fresh and uplifting yet also really exotic. It is so great that Weleda have made a lovely scent from this, a light EDT which I wear frequently these days.
The cream is a creamy colour and feel quite light on application. It soaks in very fast n leaves my skin feeling matt and not greasy at all at the same time it feels well nourished.

I always apply my day cream after cleaning, toning and applying a good quality natural serum. I eave ths to soak in before applying any make up if I choose to wear any that day.
According to Weleda this day cream has been created to:
1) Reduces wrinkles and tautens.
2) Protects from oxidative stress.
3) Improves elasticity and resilience
I have found it does a great job of making my skin feel nourished and it never feels tight or sensitive and itchy when using this which some products do seem to do. We are lucky in that the area we live is not too heavily polluted with traffic fumes or industrial pollution bt I hope this is helping fight all the nsties in the environmant for me with its antioxidants.

My skin feels tauter and looks fresher but the lines and wrinkles are still there though they don't seem to look any worse!
I love that it smells so fresh and uplifting as it cheers em up each morning when I apply this.

Apart from the lovely pomegranate oil this is carefully blended with golden millet, argan and macadamia oils which create this lovely light cream to nourishes and regenerate the skin.
This is all natural as I have mentioned but it is also suitable for vegans as all ingredients are plant based. This product has not been tested on animals and has no petrochemicals or GM ingredients and has no filler ingredients or parabens either.

Even though Weleda use all natural ingredients they are quite powerful and they suggest that you do a test on a small area for a few days when using something new. I have not had any issues with any of their products and I have skin that is prone to allergies and eczema but best be on the safe side.

Weleda Pomegranate Firming Day Cream came to my possession as a 7 ml miniature version early this year. In theory, this cream is designed to treat more mature skin than mine (40 y.o. and more), so the main final beneficiary of its effect was my mom in the end, however, I also had my fair share of testing.
The cream has a very light almost fluid-like texture, and great absorption properties (easy to use it prior to applying make-up). It has a bit unpleasant (to my taste) scent though (luckily, it is not very lasting). The cream acts a moisturizer and at the same time demonstrates a decent lifting effect accompanied by evening of the skin tone. It is an economical one in application as well.
In general, it is a good skin treat and I can recommend it.
