I have recently tested a sample of Nivea Daily Essentials Urban Skin Defence+48h Moisture Boost Day Cream as a part of new product campaign (it is just entering the market). This Urban Skin Defence is, frankly speaking, rather a gel than a cream, a light-textured and a green-coloured one. It is very economical (my sample lasted 3 tries). Upon application and following the absorption (which is not a quick one even if its amount is a miniscule one) the skin feels soft, plump, velvety and decently hydrated. I have not witnessed any 24+ (let alone 48+) hydration though, but 8 hrs for me is quite enough, even taking into account my prone to dryness skin that favours more dense and rich creams. It has an SPF protection, but the inability to sit well with make-up (it produces rolls and clumps) renders this bonus useless in many cases unless you just plan to use it on a holiday. It may be a good item for that very purpose since smells of freshness and summer and contributes to a good mood from the start - just the thing we all need on holidays or days off.
Despite its imperfections, I can still recommend it as an additional skin treatment, since it is rather cheap and long lasting in terms of volume.
