Neal's Yard Remedies Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture Hot

This is a quality daily moisture from Neal’s Yard Remedies, full of natural/organic sources ingredients. With all these great oils and extracts you expect the best, which you do get. My skin is dry. sometimes normal in areas. This product is aimed at Normal skin, with a Rehydrating effect. Firstly when I opened the tube, I found it was a very liquidy lotion, not a cream. You have to be careful in using this, as it is so light, almost runny. I recommend holding the tube with the opening at the top, gently squeeze a little at a time, be careful if you lay it down, it will escape. I believe it’s been mentioned that the large version is pump action, which I certainly believe it needs.
The lotion is delicate, not thick, its also cool to the skin touch. It does take time in getting used to how much to apply because it is so thin and light. I found I applied a light amount, which dried very quickly. The I needed to apply a second within a few minutes, as it does give a tightening effect. Once you have put the amount on, your skin really needs, then its loses the tightening effect and settles to a nice smooth, soft feel. This lotion really should be aimed at skin that is maybe more youthful, less demanding, that doesn’t quite require all the richness that other daily moisture products give.
As the hours passed I found I did have to reapply, so it’s doesn’t have an all day moisture. If it was a cream and richer then maybe this would be different. This didn’t bother me, as I did like the texture and coolness a fresh application brought.
If I had any issue with this Daily Moisture, was that it didn’t contain any SPF. As this is an organic/natural product it can sometimes be difficult to obtain natural SPF reflectors in a cream, but it can be done, as other natural brands have shown. Although they aren’t of a high factor nor a guarantee of full sun protection. If this is something you are concerned with, then applying a SPF cream on top will sort this. I know this means double usage of different products, it’s really all down to the individual needs.
In this product we have many oils, from Marigold, Sunflower, Rose Flower as well as Rose flower extract, Lemon peel oil and Ylang ylang flower….all of these together bring a wonderful scent. Although the product does promote the Rose as its main benefit and scent, I found it was more the Lemon and Marigold I sensed. This for me gave the lotion a crisp refreshing note. One I do love and probably why I like using it so much. It’s not a lingering scent, so no need to worry that it will hang about all day.
Due to the quick absorption of this lotion, make up can be applied with no wait time.
I would certainly recommend this Daily Moisture for it’s uplifting scent and for it’s natural, no nasties ingredients.
