Description

The Light Comforting Cream is formulated with 5% shea butter to answer the essential needs of normal to combination skin, including sensitive skin types. Lastingly moisturised (48h), skin is supple and soft. As protected against external aggressions, skin stays comfortable all day long.
In Burkina Faso, women produce shea butter by hand. While one might expect this technique to weaken and damage the skin, in reality it leaves it incredibly soft. L'OCCITANE discovered that the shea butter produced in Burkina Faso using traditional methods is particularly rich in omega 6 and karitene. These molecules have exceptional properties and help to moisturize, nourish and give extra protection to the skin every day.

Directions

Put a dab of cream in the palm of your hand and warm it up to facilitate the penetration of the product.
Apply the cream onto your face starting from the middle and moving to your forehead. Don't forget your neck and chest area.
Pat all over to boost microcirculation
Apply pressure onto your temples with your fingertips to release tensions, and inhale deeply. As you exhale, feel the day's tensions dissipate.

User Reviews

Strongest points
+ light texture
+ instantaneous absorption
+ quick and visible effect
+ good weather-protective properties
+ a little goes a long way
+ trusted brand
Weakest points
- no long-term effect
- better not to be used under a cream-based make up
Summary
L'Occitane Shea Light Comforting Face Cream is a good choice for daily routine, it is especially true if you do not use any cream-like or liquid-based foundations or primers (those tend to roll into little clumps/pellets if used together with this cream). It has a light texture and is absorbed into skin within minutes. The cream is very economical in use - a small amount goes a long way. It moisturizes well and keeps the skin protected from a harsh weather, and its results are visible upon the 1st try. However, once you stop the cream all its effects cease to manifest (i.e. it is definitely not a long-lasting treatment against any permanent skin issues). Some do not like its scent (like my mom, who criticized it), it is a bit too strong, but it is good for me, it reminds me that of a cream for children I used to have in my childhood.
I had this item before (now once again refreshed my memory with a sample) and may conclude that the cream is a good item to have for a change. It isn't a miracle maker but it has normal composition and affordable price.
