Summary
I normally use the Organic Hemp version of the MuLondon moisturisers but in the hot weather my skin takes on a completely different aspect; from a blemishy normal it goes wildly inflamed dry so I thought I'd give the Marigold, Frankincense & Myrrh a go. It smells great and is very familiar to use after using the Organic Hemp one. The best approach is a small amount warmed in your hands and applied to slightly moistened skin: don't be tempted to use too much (I lift a small amount with a finger nail as this makes it easy to get out of the jar and means you don't get too much out).

It feels good on the skin and definitely helps with my very sensitive and inflamed skin. I wouldn't use it all year as the Organic Hemp is better suited to me but it certainly helps when I'm struggling in the hot weather.

A luxe feeling product

User Reviews

Strongest points
Very hydrating and moisturising. Gorgeous melting texture.
Weakest points
Hard to get out of pot.
Summary
I used this as a night moisturisor and really enjoyed it as such. My skin was plump and soft in the mornings. It has a nice, spicy scent, which smells natural. I struggled with the texture at first as I got most of the product under my fingernails when scooping it out of the pot (overall the packaging has a classic appearance and is sturdy), once I started using an ice-cream spoon to scoop out the product, we got along much better. You warm the product in your hands and it starts to melt immediately, blending easily into your face like an oil. I did try using this as a day moisturiser once and my partner commented that my face looked greasy - which is unusual for me with very dry skin. It takes a good ten minutes to absorb fully. I also wanted to try it as a body moisturiser to make sure I'd covered all bases with it. As I said, I have very dry skin and it didn't really make much of a difference (unless I used the whole pot on my body).
I would consider purchasing this again but for use as night cream. It has a lovely warming effect on the skin and I would imagine would make a perfect Winter-time product.

A Multi-Tasking Pot Of Magic

I have been trialing some products from the MuLondon range over the past few weeks and simply have to share my findings. My general complexion tends be hormonal and prone to breakouts and irritation as well as being on the nature side where ageing is a concern. As I am very conscious of the ingredients of skin products and their impact on both my body and the environment I was thrilled to find these products from MuLondon, whose ethic is pure in both their recipes and responsibility to the environment.
The first product I would like to review is the beautiful Organic Marigold, Frankincense and Myrrh Moisturiser. This was recommended to me in light of my ageing concerns in my complexion. I have rarely found an organic product that is efficient at addressing an ageing complexion. The moisturizer has a balm/ cream like texture and has a subtle mustard colouring. It is housed in a simple practical glass jar with a sturdy, easy to open screw top lid and simple and easy to understand labeling. It is recommended that you use a very small amount of product to prevent overwhelming the skin and it is so highly concentrated I found I only needed a small pea size amount for both my face and décolleté area. You should warm the balm between your palms before application and this way it applies smoothly, quickly and evenly onto the skin. As you are smoothing the product on you can hear a delightful subtle crackle, not too dissimilar to crushing creamy foam bubbles between your hands. The product just melts onto your skin and feels wonderfully warm and indulgent! It is a cross between a face cream and an oil which is an utter pleasure to use! The shea butter and jojoba is pure bliss and comfort to the skin. The fragrance is subtle and in no way overpowering. I can detect a subtle sweet spiciness that it a real treat to the senses as well as the skin. The fragrance soon dissipates and leaves this wonderful product to do what it does best….moisturise!
After application my skin feels instantly soft, radiant and warmed and the massage that it takes during application is wonderful for stimulating the blood flow in the skin. After each application my skin feels instantly and deeply moisturized with no trace of greasiness or shine and after approximately 10 minutes there is no apparent, visible product left on the skin. Your complexion absorbs the cream readily and feels soothed and calm.

I mainly use this product as a nighttime moisturizer due to its intense ingredients and after 3 weeks of constant usage, I have not even used a third of the jar! My skin has suffered no flare-ups, breakouts or excess oil production and many inflamed areas have diminished and look less prominent. My skin looks and feels smoother with and radiance and even tone. Any areas of redness and scarring look less prominent. My fine lines do not look as obvious and my skin is wonderfully plumped. The moisturisation is deep and long lasting and I am thrilled with the results from this product. The value for money is phenomenal as the product is so highly concentrated so this little jar far outlasts any of the more expensive, non organic products I have used in the past.

If you have more mature, ageing skin this product is an absolute must! With so many beneficial and beautiful ingredients packed in to one small jar you will be amazed at both the results and the longevity of this wonderful moisturizer. Combined with the fact that it is 100% organic, cruelty free and suitable for vegans there is simply no reason not to give it a try! A multi-tasking pot of magic!

A small pot that packs a powerful punch

A small pot that packs a powerful punch. You can feel the shea butter as soon as you touch this moisturiser. It is very compact so better to use a small spatula to get the cream out. You only need a small amount so good value for money.
There are a lot of potent ingredients in this small pot and they really do work together.
After just one use my skin felt moisturised, plump and silky soft. When I woke up in the morning my skin still felt soft and silky.
I was a little scepticle at first as the texture of the moisturiser is different to my normal moisturisers. I thought it might be too heavy and sticky, it isn't either of these.
The scent is calming and uplifting. After a weeks use I noticed some of the redness on my face had dimninished a little, this was a real bonus for me as I never expected it and I don't think it claims to do this.
This is one that I will be purchasing more of.

You only need a small amount and it absorbs quickly. Leaves skin feeling nourished, hydrated and silky soft.
Good value for money as you need only a small amount.
Weakest points
Quite a dense moisturiser so a small spatula is needed to get out of the pot.
Summary
A gorgeous small pot of heaven. The texture is silky and the powerful ingredients really do their job. Leaves skin hydrated, moisturised and silky soft.
I felt some of my lines looked a little softer due to the plumping effect.
My skin feels younger and glowing.

A Combined Moisturiser and Face Oil

I love the no fuss style pot that it comes in, however, you do need something else to help get the product out, as it is a solid moisturiser. However, once you've done this and massaged it onto your face, it feels wonderful. It absorbs very easily, but be careful, as a little goes a long way. It is a combined moisturiser and face oil. I normally use both, so in using this, I find that I am also able to save money by only using the one product. I haven't noticed a difference in fine lines disappearing yet, but it certainly leaves my skin looking and feeling hydrated.

Strongest points
Absorbs easily into your skin, leaving it feeling so soft and fresh.
Weakest points
The directions are to melt a pea-sized amount between the palms of your hands and massage gently into your skin. However, everytime I did this it disappeared into the palm of my hand, so instead, I just apply a few dabs around my face and rub it in.
Summary
A beautiful smelling organic moisturiser with Shea Butter and Jojoba oil, extracts of Marigold and Blue Chamomile and the essential oils of Frankincense and Myrrh.
