Summary
I have used 3ml sample of this product (lasted for 7 times) and left dissatisfied with it. Kiehl's Rosa Arctica claims to be a lightweight cream, but in truth it is extremely dense and very poorly absorbed into the skin. And while it is still absorbing (which can take a solid half an hour or more) it is felt like a film on the face. The cream has a queer salty smell (or a scent reminiscent of such notions as chemicals or hospital), which I could have lived with unless the other inconveniences of the cream kicked in. Luckily the cream does not create serious adverse effects like redness or itching, but if overused it may contribute to puffiness and swelling especially in areas adjacent to the eyes. I believe this is a result of cream's richness and density, which may be a good thing in the low temperatures in winter (protection from frost) but totally unacceptable in hot seasons. The only other plus is the cream is economical in use. 7 times I have treated myself to it I also failed to notice any anti-age effect on those few wrinkles which I already have. To sum up, I am glad I had only a sample and haven't bought a full sized item since it is costly and has proved to be ineffective.
