This is a light, non greasy gel type cream. It comes in an aluminium tube which is sealed and there is a slightly faffy 'twist and push in' procedure you need to manage in order to pierce the tube and begin being able to use the product.
It is very light and has more of a gel consistency. I could imagine this being suited to those with oily skin and/or those looking for a light weight moisturiser. For me I find this a little on the light side alone so I currently use this under Nivea Q10 Anti Dark Spot SPF30 which is a much heavier cream.
I have only recently purchased this and although I am using both morning and night, it's too early to comment on the result/effectiveness regarding dark spot reduction. I will add to this review in 4-6 weeks time with regards to this.
I can however comment on the use of the product. As it's light and a gel/cream consistency a little goes a long way and it spreads over the face and neck quickly. It also sinks in and dries very quickly too, there is a slight tackiness initially so not completely smooth to the touch, but this is ever so slight. Once fully absorbed my skin does feel very soft but I am using a heavier moisturiser on top of this as I tend to still feel a little tight in areas.
The smell is inoffensive and wears off quickly. From other online reviews I expected a strong orange or lemony fragrance, but did not find this the case. There is a faint citrus smell which fades very quickly and turns a little synthetic in my opinion, but that goes away in less than a minute.
After a few days use my skin does appear brighter overall and I am hoping with continued use I will see a lightening of the dark/sun spots I have on cheeks. Time will tell.
Its worth mentioning, as the packing says this illuminates the skin, that there are no illuminating particles in this product, it is a plain white cream. Some illuminating creams add crushed mother of pearl, or some kind of fine cosmetic shimmer, to give a glow but this has none.
