This gives an instant uplifting refreshment to my skin but not a long lasting moisturising effect.

User Reviews

Strongest points
Light and refreshing
makes my skin feel uplifted
paraben free

Weakest points
Not that moisturising long term - so gives a instant feeling of moisturisation but after about an hour my skin feels as though it needs another dose.

It is not a cheap product
Summary
I had a dozen or so small samples of this from somewhere and took them on holiday. thy were perfect for on the plane where my skin dries out fast and this gave me an instant refreshing lift which was perfect for that. I was less impressed with this as a moisturiser from day to day as it didn't give my skin that deep down moisturising I felt

it takes time to get used to the smell

User Reviews

Strongest points
+ extra hydration
+ instantaneous absorption
+ evens out skin surface
+ not very expensive
Weakest points
- algae smell
Summary
Biotherm Aquasource 48H Hydration Gel is a good mass market moisturizing tool for the skin. Results of its application are visible within minutes, if not seconds. The texture of the skin evens out, it looks almost radiant and like that of a baby (or a model from a glossy magazine page). I used this gel for several weeks in the evening and the quality and overall feeling of my facial skin improved and some minor wrinkles became indiscernible. I also liked instantaneous absorption of this one, which is probably one of the fastest I have ever witnessed in 'gel's universe'. The price is quite decent, making Biotherm Aquasource 48H Hydration Gel an affordable item for daily use. However, the smell may drive a lot of people off this product. It is very distinctive and quite potent algae scent which I found unpleasant upon the first try.
It is a good hydration product if you have no aversion to the algae smell.
