• With natural charcoal, pore strips suck out oil and blackhead breeding impurities
• Leaving skin feeling fresh, clean and 3 x less oily
• Pack of six strips
• Ideal for oily to normal skin.
• Hypoallergenic
• Dermatologist Tested
- Hazards & Cautions:
1. Use only on the nose.
2. Avoid using on acne blemishes or swollen, sunburned, excessively dry skin, or skin prone to spider veins.
3. Consult a doctor before using on skin being treated with prescription acne medication.
4. Avoid using on skin which is sensitive to bandages or peel-off face masks.
5. Remove strip as directed promptly after it becomes stiff. If strip is difficult or painful to remove, wet strip thoroughly until it slides off easily.
Forceful removal of the strip should be avoided and may cause skin abrasions. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
6. Do not use more often than once every three day.

Directions

1. Remove strip from pouch. Twist strip to loosen and separate slits prior to use
2. After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose. The strip won’t stick on a dry nose.
3. Dry hands. Peel strip off plastic liner. Apply to nose area, smooth side down, pressing down to ensure good contact with skin.
4. Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch – like papier-mâché.
5. Slowly and carefully peel off starting at edges, pulling toward centre. Any residue left on skin is easily removed with rinsing.

Ingredients

Polyquaternium-37, Silica, Aqua, Glycerin, Polysilicone-13, Ci 77499, Peg-12 Dimethicone, Menthol, Charcoal Powder, Styrene/Stearyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Methylparaben.

Summary
Some may find the method of pulling the blackheads with a strip or a mask off-putting preferring other ways of dealing with this problem, I am always open to many solutions, so trialling Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips was an interesting experience. The strips themselves are neatly packed, each in a separate non-transparent packaging. It is a good thing in terms of hygiene and using them, f.e., on a trip. My personal advice is to use the strips after the hot shower or after the skin has been 'steamed out' a bit, otherwise you just waste the product. The skin also should be thoroughly moisturized (wet) to allow the strip to stick neatly to the contours of the nose. The application itself is an easy one, no hidden tricks or obstacles. Peeling off the strip may be far trickier - if the skin has not been moisturized enough before the application, such peeling may irritate it and make it feel scorched (that happened with my left nostril and took some time to heal). In my case, upon peeling off the strip gathered up not more than 1/3 of the blackheads each time I tried it (I bet it is due to the fact that although I have a bunch of these black nasties, they are tiny and the skin is normal and prone to dryness). In case of my husband, who has large pores and oily skin, the success was up to 85% of the blackheads removed. Afterwards, however, there might be a charcoal residue (hard to wash off) which on my nose looked worse that blackheads that I had before the procedure.
In general, it is difficult for me either to recommend or not recommend this treatment. It doesn't work for my skin but it obviously does for an oily one. I also believe that although these strips are much more efficient and sanitary (in comparison with squeezing the blackheads with ones' fingers or some cosmetic tool), they are not the solution to the problem in the long run and to my personal belief (misguided or not) they might enlarge the pores if used too often.
