This moisturiser is a delightful new brand that I was so excited to trial. From the word go I was intrigued by the brand as their ethic seems perfect in every way. The brand claims to use only natural ingredients in their products with the bonus of non animal testing with the products being SLS and Paraben free. These are all key factors for me when choosing a new skincare brand.

A vibrant and practical packaging

The name Peppy Galore immediately conjured up a young, fresh and modern brand and their packaging certainly reflects this style. The bottle is a delightful, non-fussy white plastic bottle with a wide nozzle, pump action lid.

I always prefer a pump bottle as this generally makes the product easy to dispense without contaminating your product with fingers. The pump has a lovely wide nozzle. The bottle is adorned with yellow hearts and a simple, easy to understand no nonsense label.

The whole packaging lends itself to a modern, young brand. I refused to let this deter me as I have mature skin; after all, it is the product inside that is most important. This said, I am a great believer in attractive practical packaging as this is the ‘shop window’ of a brand. Peppy Galore has certainly achieved this but it ‘may’ deter older clients from trying the brand in the first place (just a small observation / opinion).

A Top-notch Dispenser

The dispense nozzle of the bottle is perfect for me. It has a nice smooth action and dispenses the perfect amount of product for both my face and décolleté area.

I noted after two weeks of use that the nozzle does not clog in any way with dried product, as many others can do. The pump is perfect for preventing over dispense and wastage of the product.

A rich, scented and absorptive cream

Once dispensed the moisturiser has a lovely, indulgent thick texture which is white in colour and has a silky balm like texture. Spread and warmed between the fingers the cream glides beautifully on to my skin without effort.

Admittedly at first I was a little concerned about the thickness of texture but this was unfounded as the cream is immediately absorbed by my skin. When applying it is pleasure to feel the wonderful glide that this balm like texture gives. Even though the product is thick there is no residue or stickiness on the skin at all.

The cream has a beautiful and subtle fragrance that is predominantly a rose and geranium scent with a little kiss of something citrus, which I am guessing is Citronellal in the product? It is overall a bright fresh fragrance which is very pleasant and uplifting.

A Day & Night Moisturiser for Mature Skin

I have been using this product both morning and evening and the deep moisturisation does not dissipate in between applications. My skin feels hydrated, plumped and fresh after each use. I have not seen any significant benefits for fine lines; however, this is not a claim of the product in the first place.

Hydration is key to my complexion and this cream delivers excellent results in this field. I am also prone to break outs and hormonal skin and the Star Moisturiser has not upset the ‘status quo’ of my skin at all. After each use my skin feels plumped, soft and above all ‘comfortable’.

My Findings and Recommendation

For those who are looking for a no fuss, deeply moisturising cream, suitable for day and night applications, you will not go far wrong with this product.

It is gentle enough for all skin types (in my opinion), easy to use and very long lasting because of its concentrated ingredients.

It offers excellent moisturisation, with added benefits of containing olive, avocado and apricot kernel oils, which are natural sun blocks (although you should always use a quality sun block in addition) and packed with vitamins and antioxidants.

Quite simply a versatile and effective moisturiser all in one. In short, in my opinion, ‘what’s not to like’. An excellent new brand well worth a try.
