GerlindeNaturals Balancing & Purifying Face Cleansing Oil

The trial of this cleanser has been an absolute pleasure from beginning to end!.As my skin ages dehydration has become a fact of life and also skin related issues caused by stress and environmental factors. Facial oils have long since been avoided by many for fear of causing excess oil on the skin. For me, finding beauty oils and introducing them into my skincare regime have been nothing short of a miracle. I have been lucky enough to try many products and this oil based cleanser has not disappointed in any way.
GerlindeNaturals Balancing & Purifying Face Cleansing Oil is a paraben free, handmade oil cleanser beautifully made up of Jojoba, Hemp Seed, Apricot, Coconut and Essential Oils designed for all skin types. The cleanser arrived in the most beautiful packaging I have any seen for a product!! The packaging for me spoke volumes about the product within, without evening opening the box! The creativity and care that has gone into the packaging design immediately inspired confidence in the product. The box was a beautiful corrugated pack with a handmade tag and metal charm and the company logo. Inside the cleanser was wrapped in a beautiful green tissue paper alongside the ‘Washi’ cloth and clear concise instructions. The whole package is completely conducive of the product inside.

As the cleanser was a trial size I did not have the opportunity to trial the full size pump packaging; however I was glad to see that the normal full size pump would house this cleanser as I did find it a little difficult to dispense the oil from the trial bottle without spillage.

The instructions state that you should use a few drops of oil warmed between the palms. I found this amount to be more than sufficient for a full cleanse of the face, neck and décolleté. When dispensed you are greeted with a beautiful rich golden oil that is not too thick or too runny. When warmed between the palms I was struck by the most wonderful and difficult to describe aroma! It has a slightly nostalgic aroma but one I am as of yet, unable to place. You can certainly smell the hemp and there is a definite citrus undertone. A warming, citrus and herbal aroma to my mind. With facial oils you should always work on the principle that ‘less is more’. Not only is this more cost effective, you will also ensure correct usage and you do not overwhelm your skin with product which will have the opposite effect to that which the product was designed for. Warmed between the palms the cleanser glides onto the skin beautiful and does not fully absorb, enabling you give your skin an indulgent massage at the same time as removing grease, grime and makeup. As always I did not use this product near my eyes. The cleanser immediately warms and soothes the skin.

I am very familiar with the ‘hot cloth’ removal method and have been using this method for years. Not only does it ensure thorough removal of your product but at the same time you receive the added benefit of the removal of dead skin cells. The hot cloth method keeps your complexion in tip top condition and allows your product to work effectively each and every time. The 100% Washi cloth is good quality without being harsh of abrasive. My personal method is to simply saturate under semi hot water, cover the whole face for a few seconds to open the pores and then wipe your product away. So simple yet so effective!!

I noted wonderful benefits from the first cleanse. Used morning and night my skin feels balanced, calmed, smooth and soft. Oil based products have a remarkable ability to re-balance oily areas and deeply hydrate dehydrated areas. The product would no doubt benefit each user in a very unique way. It is a remarkable prescription product that is suited to all skin types. Used morning and night my skin feels smooth and hydrated and I have suffered no breakouts or irritation. After 3 weeks of use I still have a lot of product left in the bottle so the value for money is phenomenal!!

I admit to my growing addiction of natural oil based products and after seeing so many beneficial results I do not intend to alter my regime anytime soon. This beautiful cleanser by GerlindeNaturals has earned its rightful place in my current top 5 products and aside from the simplicity of the product; their packaging is the best I have seen. With such a promising first trial of this brand I am most certainly keen to try more in the future. Very highly recommended!!
