Darphin Hydraskin Essential All-Day Skin Hydrating Emulsion

I’m always on the look-out for facial skincare products that won’t irritate my dry and sensitive skin, particularly those that can double-up as a light and nourishing night cream.

Darphin’s Hydraskin Essential All-Day Skin-Hydrating Emulsion is a product that I hadn’t previously tried and is part of the Darphin Hydraskin Collection. It is specifically formulated to suit dehydrated rather than sensitive skin-types, but containing ingredients such as soothing Butterfly Lavender and hydrating Glasswort, I just had to give it a go!

My Review

Hydraskin Essential All-Day Skin-Hydrating Emulsion is a light emulsion designed to be applied twice daily – am & pm. At £32.00 for 50ml it’s quite expensive, but has a rich consistency so can be used sparingly.

The fragrance is mild, wonderfully uplifting and reminiscent of freshly cut grass. The emulsion absorbs quickly, and is non-greasy and non-irritating. It works well not only as a day cream but as a light and hydrating night cream, leaving the skin radiant and smooth.

My only criticism is that it does not have the same firming effect as many creams, but this problem is easily resolved by using with an appropriate serum.

Overall, I was so impressed by the mildness and effectiveness of this emulsion that it is going to be part of my regular skincare routine. Highly recommended!
