This is a very fine grade natural exfoliant predominantly made of ground rice and Adzuki beans and a salt base (beware of your eyes if using on the face). The texture of the product is more like a powder than grains and is so gentle it can be used on the face as well as the body. The grains are housed in a beautiful latch lid jar that can be re-used (and I will) after your product is exhausted with a plastic scoop. The grains are mainly white in colour with neutral coloured grains within. For the face I dampened the skin slightly and then put a scoop of product into the palm of my hand with a few drops of water to make a paste. Then you gently massage the skin. The water dissolves the salt base and leaves you skin feel soft, smooth and conditioned. On the body it can be a little more awkward as the powder is so dry. I suggest mixing it with a good thick texture shower gel before massaging the skin. It works well with the method above (for the face) but can be a little messy returning to the jar each to for more product. The fragrance is beautiful and subtle with citrus notes.
On the whole this is a beautiful exfoliating product but can be a little fiddly and messy to use. I would prefer that it was contained with an oil base to prevent the hassle of using a dry powder. For this reason I probably would not re-purchase

Strongest points
Fine texture dry wash grains that can be used as an exfoliator on the face and body. Contains ground Adzuki beans that do not scratch or irritate the skin. Removes dead skin cells and leaves the skin soft and energised. Beautiful citrus scent. Attractive and reusable latch lid pot. Lon lasting and excellent value
Weakest points
Can be messy as it is a completely dry product
Summary
