I do love the Soap & glory range of toiletry products and this was oart of a 3 for 2 deal I bought in Boots prior to Christmas. A 250ml bottle of this spray costs £6 from Boots which I thought given that in was 3 for 2 was quite good value.
The body spray comes in a box with the usual Soap & Glory pink colouring and 50s retro style featuring a young girl in 50s clothing in black and white below the pink label “A Flirty, Floral, Fragrant Body Spray2 and the name of the product in various places around the box “Mist You Madly” which as usual is a witty play on words. I think the cardboard box is slightly unnecessary but I suppose it adds to the quality look of the product and can of course be recycled very easily.
The bottles inside is a sleek pearlescent pink plastic and has a slightly retro or kitsch look to it and the 50's style retro labelling once again in evidence. It is exactly like the one pictured above with a spray pump, not an aerosol but I like that as I am not a big fan of aerosols anyway. If you hold it up to the light it is translucent so that you can see how much you have left which I find useful because I know exactly how much is left.
I bought this to take on holiday with me as a light fragrance ton wear everyday when it is hot so the fact that it is a spray pump is great as I get a cooling each time I spray as well as a pleasant smell. It is a shame that it is quite such a large bottle as I cannot take it on the plane to freshen up with as it is bigger than the required 100ml. However once we are in South Africa we have a car so that should no longer be a problem. When you spray this the spray isn't as fine as it would be with an aerosol and so your skin gets quite damp, but it does dry quickly and to be honest, in hot weather I find it quite refreshing and the reason I bought this style of spray.
The scent of the product is described on the box as 'featuring notes of bergamot and blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia, vanilla and musk. This gives a light floral fragrance with slightly sweet and creamy vanilla and a musky undertone which come through fairly strongly after a while but as I love musky notes I find this very pleasing. I find that the scent of the spray lingers for quite some time which I like and although it is quite wet I haven’t found it has marked any of my clothes.
A fun, feminine and flirty scent
