I do love the Soap & glory range of toiletry products and this was reduced the other day when I was in Boots. A 250ml bottle of this spray costs £6 from Boots normally and it was reduced to £4 which I thought was pretty good value. I had really liked the previous spray I bought ‘Mist You Madly’ and thought I’d try this “Glam A Lot’ for a change.
The body spray comes in a box with the usual Soap & Glory pink colouring on two sides of the box and with the other box sides a pale yellow .The 50s retro style design has a young girl in a white long frilly dress/nightie ( hard to tell!) in black and white below the black writing “ There are times you need a little glam and then there are times you need to Glam A-LOT” label then in cursive writing “Super, sexy, warm, rich, racy and veritably voluptuous FRAGRANT BODY SPRAY”.
On another pink side there is a round label with the usual is a witty play on words, “Mist opportunity. It’s rich. Voluptuous. Sensual. It’s got sex appeal (Use it and Ooze it.). I think the cardboard box is slightly unnecessary but I suppose it adds to the quality look of the product and can of course be recycled very easily.
The bottles inside is a sleek pearlescent mushroom pink plastic and has a slightly retro or kitsch look to it and the 50's style retro labelling once again in evidence. It is exactly like the one pictured above with a spray pump, not an aerosol but I like that as I am not a big fan of aerosols anyway. If you hold it up to the light it is translucent so that you can see how much you have left which I find useful because I know exactly how much is left. I also like the fact that the bottle is plastic not glass as a glass on e this size would be quite heavy and I pop it in my handbag as I travel around and its always there for a quick spray. It would be good if they also had a smaller option for when you are travelling as even this one is quite heavy when full.
I bought the previous bottle to take on holiday with me as a light fragrance to wear everyday when it was hot so the fact that it was a spray pump was great as I got a cooling each time I sprayed as well as a pleasant smell. It lasted the whole three nearly four weeks we were away and I used it daily and often to cool and freshen myself as it was extremely hot at times. It was perfect as the sent was quite light and refreshing. I had no excuse for buying this one except it was reduced and hopefully the summer months will be nice and warm here. At the price I paid the previous one lasted a good long time and i am quite happy to spray it on often as it is so reasonably priced.
The scent of the product is described on the box as Fresh flowers layered on a woody, vanilla, musk base’. This is not unlike the ‘Mist you Madly’ which also had the deeper notes of vanilla and musk. This gives a light floral fragrance with slightly sweet and creamy vanilla and a musky undertone which come through fairly strongly after a while but as I love musky notes I find this very pleasing. I find that the scent of the spray lingers for quite some time which I like and although it is quite wet I haven’t found it has marked any of my clothes. The wetness of the spray is also most refreshing when you are somewhere really hot and much nicer than an aerosol spray would be.

Strongest points
“Glam A-LOT” is a body spray not a deodorant and I tend to use it as a delicate refreshing perfume during these summer months and when travelling to places with hot weather as I don’t like heavy perfumes in hot weather. I love the Soap & Glory fresh clean smell and this is what you get whenever you have a quick squirt at any time in the day. I love smelling fresh and don’t think hot weather is an excuse for a lack of personal so a quick squirt to every now and then makes me smell more appealing.
Weakest points
Not that effective as a deodorant as it isn't one
Summary
This is not a hugely different scent from the ‘Mist you Madly’ but I do think it is a bit deeper , the vanillary sweetness is quite strong and lasts a good long time on my skin. I do like to be able to sniff my arm and smell the scent I have on. This is a great summer smell, a little stronger and heavier than their other body spray but not like a perfume. The fact that it is a liquid spray means that it is really refreshing when it is hot - let’s hope I need a lot of this spray this summer.
Beautiful body mist with subtle florals, woods and musk. Excellent longevity. Gorgeous lilac 1950’s inspired spray bottle and packaging. Great value for money

Summary
This body mist is my favourite so far by Soap & Glory, it is my typical style of fragrance. I love the 1950’s retro packaging of this brand and on the box it is classed as a rich, voluptuous, sensual fragrance (I’m looking at it now). This is more sexy fragrance compared to others in the range and for a body mist it has excellent longevity. This scent has top notes of florals which are not sickly or sweet with a base of my favourite combination of vanilla and musk. This is my husband’s favourite mist that he comments on every time I wear it. I am happy to wear this in place of perfume and it is excellent for travel. It may not suit everyone’s tastes but it certainly has the glamorous, exotic edge which is a consistent favourite of mine
This is a more voluptuous scent, the vanilla gives it a warming and calming feel and the woody musk base gives it a glamorous and exotic scent.
Quite floral and light, lasts all day long.
I love the bottle, it is easy to use and carry about.
Don't be put off by the girlie look of the bottle as this is not really a scent that would suit the young.
