This is one of a number of Body Shop hemp products and they are a bit like Marmite - you love or hate them. I love them and love the smell too.

Summary
This is a different sort of body wash from the usual sugary sweet and fruity ones and would appeal to those who like earthy scents and also to men i would say. It is moisturising and really does not dry out my skin at all.

The scent is unusual as it has an earthy, herbal smell which is different to most other shower products.
It soothes and nourishes dry skin.
Suitable for both sexes as it is not feminine in style or smell.
It is not tested on animals and is fairtrade too.

It does not produce a great lather as it is soap-free and the scent will not suit everyone.

Summary
I found this product grew on me over time. Initially, I found the scent strange but it became quite addictive and reminded me of a walk through a forest with nettles and moss and all things green.
My Fiance said the smell reminded him of the hemp ropes used for the horses on the farm when he was a child.
I am used to products which lather and it was difficult to judge how much to use as it seemed to disappear and you ended up pouring more out of the bottle.
I found it worked best if applied to damp skin and then it produced a creamy film which then washed off easily.
It left my skin feeling soothed and softer too and the scent lingered for some time after.

The product is great for tackling Eczema prone skin. and you can definitely feel the difference in your skin within one use.
However i am not too keen on the the scent, it smells medicated, similar to Dettol, Also the texture is runny liquid not gel as described!
My only complaint is that it doesn't lather up very much, and considering it's only a 200ml bottle it doesn't last very long.

I have sensitive skin that can be prone to dryness or patches of eczema. I found the slight oiliness of this product very soothing on the skin and also quite moisturizing. There is a temptation to use the same amount of this wash as you would a regular shower gel, but due to its oiliness, it's best to use a smaller amount and then gently smooth it over wet skin before washing it off.
