Description

Relief for eczema-prone skin.
Cetaphil® RESTORADERM® Skin Restoring Body Wash* is suited for anyone three months of age and older. Developed as part of a daily regimen with Cetaphil® RESTORADERM® Skin Restoring Moisturizer to gently cleanse very dry, eczema-prone skin, this specially formulated body wash helps the skin retain moisture.
Using advanced-technology, this creamy wash gently cleanses and rinses without irritation and holds skin-nourishing oils in a gentle, soap-free cleanser to soothe the dry, itchy skin associated with atopic dermatitis.
Free of fragrances, parabens and nut oils, Cetaphil® RESTORADERM® Skin Restoring Body Wash is a gentle, non-irritating foaming cleanser that can help maintain the skin barrier function.

I had a really bad time with an allergic reaction a few years ago and tried everything from bathing in bicarb to oilatum and this. It all helped and eventually we discovered the cause through allergy tests. While suffering I used this and not much else. I also keep a bottle of this or oilatum in for my granddaughter who suffer from eczema. It really doe shelp

One I would recommend to anyone who needs relief from itchy skin.

User Reviews

Strongest points
Fragrance-free. Relieves dry/itchy skin.
Ideal for all skin types as well as those that suffer from skin complaints.
Weakest points
None. Price is worth the relief.
Summary
This is a really great cream wash. It covers well and lathers quickly. You don't need a massive amount to wash with. You can feel the nourishing cream work into the skin as you wash. My hubby used this the most, as his skin is very dry, especially his legs/ankles. He used it faithfully, and couldn't praise it enough. His legs and ankles were much smoother, none of the dry itchy flaky skin as before. He felt a great relief from using this, as the air-con and heaters in cars, as a driver can cause a lot of irritation to the leg area. This has help immensely , so a second purchase is on the cards. The price is high, but it lasts a good couple of months so its worth it.

Strongest points
It actually works.
Instant relief from itching.
Rich creamy lather.
Weakest points
The price.
Summary
I usually have very dry skin due to an underactive thyroid and have previously tried a multitude of other creams and washes with no lasting effect. I have been using this body wash for about a month now, with incredible results. I use it in conjunction with the Cetaphil body moisturiser and my skin has never looked so good, I have had strangers approach me to comment on my "healthy glow". The relief from itching was practically instantaneous, which felt soooo good.
Only a little of the body wash is required to give a rich lather, so the bottle actually lasts a long time. After a month's usage my bottle is still more than half full, so the price is probably justified.
I have tried repeatedly to detect a scent from the wash, but cannot trace anything, which struck me as strange, but reassured me that there were no "additives".
I have already recommended this product to several eczema sufferers and suggested the use of Boots loyalty points to reduce the cost.

One of the most soothing body washes I've ever tried!

User Reviews

Strongest points
A rich, creamy wash that lathers well. A little goes a long way. Wonderfully soothing, and leaves the skin feeling soft & moisturized. Relieves itching.
Weakest points
Expensive. Fragrance-free, but does have a slightly unpleasant clay-like scent.
Summary
An excellent body wash for sensitive, itchy or eczema-prone skin. Expensive, but well-worth the money.
