Strongest points
+ decent hydration
+ convenient packaging
+ price
Weakest points
- absorption (film-like after-effect)
- too strong chemical scent
- dries the skin in the long run
- short-lived moisturizing effect
- dimethicone and other nasties in the composition
Summary
Nivea Soothing Hand Cream Aloe Vera is an average mass market hand cream. It indeed moisturizes and hydrates, however this effect lasts for about 1.5 to 2 hrs - that, in turn, requires its excessive use to keep the hands hydrated, and at the end it is not economical at all in its application. It absorbs OK, but afterwards the hands feel like there is some kind of a film, which is not a pleasant sensation. The cream's scent is overpowering and chemical, and it lingers. If the cream is used for a long period of time its effect is reverse, which, I believe is due to silicones in its composition. In a nutshell, I do not recommend this item.
