A hydrating, delicately scented cream
I have used many Crabtree & Evelyn products over the years and I have to say that there are some good and some bad. I am just not a fan of this hand cream at all. I have a slight paranoia if my hands feel remotely dry and I use creams that have a heavy consistency so that my skin stays moisturised for longer. The consistency of this cream is certainly thick and it appears to absorb rapidly into the skin. Sadly it leaves a slight greasy residue that I feel just sits on my hands with no benefit. I am also not keen on the fragrance which is supposed to be an ocean fresh scent. It is fresh but conjures up no images or thoughts of the ocean for me.
The cream contains shea butter which is always beneficial for the skin and dryness but I found that I needed to re-apply this cream after an hour or so as my hands began to feel dry again. My other irritation is the lid. My usual L’Occitane creams have the same type of screw cap but I found this one terribly fiddly to get back onto the tube after use. This was made doubly difficult when you have just applied cream to your hands!
If you only suffer from mildly dry skin this is a very good moisturiser but I was left feeling a little disappointed, both from the moisturisation aspect and the fragrance
