i have had this brush for about 4 years now and i still love it , i would not buy another brush and i would say to everyone to get on asap :D best 18 pound i have ever spent its worth every penny
get one !!
I have owned one of these paddle brushes for years and as of yet the brush is still in the same condition that I purchased it in. Yes it does have a little wear and tear on the on the wood but I have lost no bristles and nothing has deteriorated over the years of constant use. The brush is big!! It has a beautiful lacquered wood base and in the centre where the bristles are attached is a soft cushioned pad which prevents you using too much pressure on your scalp whilst brushing. The bristles are quite long and very flexible with slightly balled ends which will never scratch or irritate the scalp. Aveda claims that this brush will detangle the knotted hair and although I cannot figure out the science behind the design y (it looks like many paddle brushes) it certainly does easily detangle the hair. I have hair past my shoulders which is fine and straight and this brush detangles it wet or dry every time without tugging or breaking the hair. Yes you do need to spend some time on the knots but it makes light work of the job. The bristles are longer than many bushes which means that it penetrates the deepest layers of hair right down to the scalp here the flexible bristles massage and sooth the skin.
I use this brush for blow drying and just general brushing and it never causes static in the hair. With 5 to 6 sweeps my hair is detangled and completely brushed through. Although this brush is a bit of an investment to begin with, the quality shows by the fact that I have not lost one bristle, the centre pad has not cracked and the brush is still as effective after years of use several times a day! This is a fantastic quality brush which I would highly recommend to all
